Key figures of the Seed Sector
The economic and statistical service of the Gnis collects processes and analyses data on seed production, certification and exchanges in France and the rest of the world, in collaboration with the different Gnis sections and other bodies (SCEES, agricultural organizations, customs ...).
Using these data, the economic and statistical service produces summaries to describe the evolution of the seed sector: structures of the profession, marketing results, turnover, varieties used, seed packaging...
The statistics are published in different forms: brochures, transparencies, statistical yearbook and on this site. The service also carries out studies at the request of professionals and public authorities.
